This is the performance I did for the 1-year anniversary of the April 16, 2007 shootings at Virginia Tech. I had curated and directed the show, which was a multidisciplinary reflection from a variety of artists across the New River Valley. As we came down the wire, I realized we were coming in a little short in representation from spoken word performers.
In retrospect, this was the beginning of my turning toward becoming a storyteller.
